The trend towards home offices and digital communication has increasingly changed the world of work over the past two years – hybrid workplace concepts are more in demand than ever. Swedish furniture manufacturer Offecct takes this development into account with its "Pauline" armchair, which was presented together with the "Thelma" sound absorber at this year's Stockholm Design Week. Both were designed by internationally renowned designer Pauline Deltour shortly before her unexpected death. Family, friends and colleagues have now finalized both designs with Offecct as a partner. Both "Pauline" and "Thelma" – named after Deltour's youngest daughter – come with smart accessories such as a hook and a writing tablet. Here, "Pauline" is designed as a modern version of a club chair and is available with four legs, on wheels or with a round swivel base. The interior designs are thus conceived for flexible workspaces and offer numerous possibilities of use: "The great quality of all Pauline Deltour’s products is the ingenious simplicity that’s always based on exquisite and carefully designed details. With the armchair, there are small shifts in proportions, surprising lines and brilliant functional solutions that create a natural elegance," says Tobias Strålman, design lead at Offecct. (ar)
