The dining chair SE 06 was designed in 1960 by Martin Visser ans is available in black and natural saddle leather. The frames are made of matt chrome-plated metal.
Natural leather is a non coloured leather and will darken under the influence
of light. It will be delivered in an almost pink tone and fade into a warm cognac tone. The time it will take to fade from a pink into a cognac tone will depend of the amount and the kind of light, but it will take at least several months.
dle leather will also stretch a little over time. Any marks on the leather should not be considered as faults. These merely confirm the authenticity and quality of saddle leather. The leather seat has a lace at the bottom, which gives the possibility to t
ighten the seat after a while.
Nowadays (since the end of the nineties) all dining chairs from Martin Visser, designed around 1960, have a different seat height compared to the original design. In general the average length of people is taller
than 45 years ago, which made it ergonomically unjustified to maintain the old seat height. The seat is raised with 3 cm, which makes it 48 cm. high.
