SE 08 was added to the series of dining chairs SE 05 (cane), SE 06 (saddle leather) en SE 07 (upholstered) in september 2005. This chair has a wooden seat and back, which clearly emphasises the simple and pure design. Seat and back are made of a plywood s
hell finished with an oak veneer.
There are 2 different finishes possible:
• The oak veneer can be finished with a matt, transparant laquer
• The oak veneer is antracite stained and afterwards finished with a matt, transpar
Nowadays (since the end of the nineties) all dining chairs from Martin Visser, designed around 1960, have a different seat height compared to the original design. In general the average length of people is taller than 45 years ago,
which made it ergonomically unjustified to maintain the old seat height. The seat is raised with 3 cm, which makes it 48 cm. high.
The frames are made of matt chrome-plated metal.
