Fluid: The Plissée Floor Lamp and Plissée Pendant Lamp
The Plissée Floor Lamp and Plissée Pendant Lamp also showcase an unexpected combination of glass and aluminum. The mouth-blown opal glass, as the name suggests, resembles an intricately pleated fabric. At the same time, the shape of the glass shade evokes the traditional paper lanterns of Japan. With the Plissée series, the textures of the materials engage in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry: the matte white satin-finished glass emphasizes the artisanal craftsmanship, while the star-shaped cut of the aluminum base of the Floor Lamp and the aluminum rings on the holder and opening of the Pendant Lamp highlight their industrial manufacturing.
