Philippe Nigro recently designed the upholstered furniture collection “Phileas” for Ligne Roset, which was presented at imm cologne 2019. Uta Abendroth interviewed the designer about his work.

This year’s Salone once again blazed many a trail into automotive wonderland. Think tracks made of fine marble, highlights for the senses and dreams on wheels powered by an improbability drive.

French fashion fabs presented dreams in leather at the Salone: “La Lanterne d’Hermès” by Yann Kersalé, “Pantographe” and “Harnais” by Michele de Lucchi and other re-editions of Jean-Michel Frank.

It’s 30 years since Finn Skjödt premiered “Divina” for Kvadrat. To celebrate the fabric’s jubilee the Danish textile manufacturer has put together an exhibition for which it asked 24 designers to interpret the fabric in their own personal way.
