“Give Love Back. Ata Macias and Partners” in Museum Angewandte Kunst is an attempt to devote a show to a man who shaped Frankfurt’s nightlife with his club, Robert Johnson, and who also transformed the restaurant scene, too.

Black-and-white camouflage unsettles the eye. Objects and furniture appear familiar and yet remain strange. And outside in the rotunda a Stars n’ Stripes has exploded. Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt presents Tobias Rehberger – a successful home game.

Ever more frequently exhibitions are attempting to explain the current relationship between art and design. This is also true of "Entre deux actes - Loge de Comédienne" at Kunsthalle Baden-Baden. This particular exhibition, however, relies too much on art and an antiquated concept of design.

An Italian bar is at times often more than simply a bar. Sometimes those who enter it get quite drunk without having drunk anything, as Tobias Rehberger demonstrates impressively.

This is the place to enjoy it, the real fun of a productive confusion of the senses and the mind. Because Tobias Rehberger, who together with Claus Richter will this year be creating a major installation in the Frankfurt Festhalle on the occasion of "The Design Annual - inside: showtime", is currently leaving viewers marvelously puzzled, not to say astonished in Amsterdam.
