Blå Station: Frankfurter by Johan Ansander

In collaboration with Frankfurter, Johan Ansander developed a chair with a deliberately simple form and a stronger physical presence. Inspired by the familiar silhouette of his own forearm, he created a design with more volume, soft radii and a calm, uniform expression. This is particularly evident in the transition from the backrest to the legs, where structural clarity meets gentle forms.

Made from moulded Swedish beech wood, the chair is robust, durable and made for everyday use. The name refers to historical models from the 1930s, while the expression is clearly anchored in the present – understated, honest and, precisely because of this, special.
