Lighting manufacturer Grau is breaking new ground with a holistic rebranding: Timon and Melchior Grau are leading the creative development of the company that their parents once established.

"Grey stands for a feeling of light. Light that activates life," say Timon Grau and Melchior Grau. Together, the brothers recently opened a new chapter in the history of the family business: "Tobias Grau" became "Grau". Grau's new brand identity thus includes a compact and gender-neutral name as well as a sharpened brand positioning. The visual language of "Grau" also becomes more emotional - because "light influences how we perceive our environment, how we see and what we feel". Timon and Melchior Grau are thus leading the lighting manufacturer into the future, which their father founded in 1986 as a freelance designer specialising in interior design in Hamburg: "Grau is a collaborative project. We brothers have been working together as artists for about 12 years. The dialogue we started as a couple, we continue today in a larger team," they say. (am)
