The P.O.V. collection features a modular design and an organically shaped table base. While it may look discreet, a P.O.V. table has the potential to command a room – it all depends on your point of view. P.O.V. tables come in two heights, three base types and six tabletop shapes. The modular system boasts nearly 70 variations, making it suitable for almost any interior – an office, dining hall, cafe or restaurant. The collection includes a stackable dining stool of the same name, which serves both a functional as well as a playful role. The collection is available in three types of wood – beech, oak and American walnut – and finished in various colours.
The collection is defined primarily by the material used in its construction and by the shape of the table base. Made by joining three identical bent plywood forms, the base is the defining feature of the entire collection.
The name P.O.V., or Point of View, derives from the fact that the look of the table differs depending on the angle of the view. It also symbolises the approach we use in our studio – as a design duo we need to understand each other’s point of view in order to reach the best possible solution. The same principle has also guided our collaboration with TON,” explained kaschkasch designer Florian Kallus.
