A touch of new objectivity

Quo vadis, furniture design? This year’s Salone del Mobile reveals a few ideas. An analysis in our glance back at the fair.
“Echoes of Liguria: the tradition of craftsmanship in Italian chairs which inspired and continues to inspire modern design. A play of edges and rounding in the same item, alternating and blending for a chair which investigates tradition graphically."
The design of the Noli chair maintains aesthetic fidelity to the Ligurian model of craftsmanship, making it contemporary in the essential quality of its elements and clarity of form. The legs with a minimal cross section lend the item lightness and elegance and ensure that the structure is stable and robust. The design of the backrest and seat favour personal comfort and support for posture through enveloping form and light seat padding.
Frame in solid beech wood, painted in the shades anthracite, ash-grey, navy blue, rose-brick, mustard and sage-green. Seat upholstered and covered with removable fabric or leather, available in different shades matching the frame for monochromatic solutions.
