The world-wide renowned designer Lucie Koldova has designed her first upholstered chair for Freifrau Sitzmöbelmanufaktur. Until recently, Lucie Koldova was particularly well-known for her contribution to the designing of lamps and lighting fixtures. She lays great emphasis on a symbiosis between the designer and the manufacturer – as was the case in her collaboration with Freifrau. The design is inspired by current fashion and the loose upholstery of other Freifrau chairs. The result is the model Celine, in which the characteristic detail is the transition from tightly stretched, to loosely gathered material. For Lucie Koldova, the focus was on comfort – nevertheless, her design radiates lightness, which is underscored by the free-floating seat and the elegantly formed chair-legs.
