STYLEPARK PEDRALI
Outdoor living room

Sitting outside – a delight for which Pedrali offers the ideal furnishings: Thanks to the elegant designs and a wide range of colours, the outdoor space becomes the centre of life. A look at the projects for hotels, restaurants and private homes shows just how diverse this can be.

The outdoor furniture from Pedrali's range can be selected to fit the individual project perfectly – as for the guests of the Villa Riviera Resort in Santa Giulia: the ‘Tribeca’ armchairs and lounges from CMP Design offer a comfortable place to sit while the view sweeps over the expanse of the Genoese Riviera. Made from a slender tubular frame with an airy cover made from woven extruded PVC with a nylon core, they are reminiscent of the classic Sixties patio chairs made from woven steel. A warm terracotta was chosen for the colour scheme, which is echoed in the details of the architecture of the historic villas of the five-star luxury resort – such as the wall paint or the tiles. CMP Design also came up with a matching table: ‘Nolita’, a lightweight model with three tubular steel legs, the top of which can be easily folded to the side if required. The version with a round top in anthracite was chosen from the numerous versions, which offers a subtle contrast in combination with ‘Tribeca’. Meanwhile, the design of the ‘Volt’ armchairs by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci features a restrained ensemble with clear lines made of polypropylene in view of the fantastic landscape. To match the industrial look, the ‘Arki-Base’ tables were combined with four tubular steel legs and a rectangular cross-section.

Straightforward on the one hand, dynamic and sensual on the other: In the five-star hotel ‘La Mamounia’ in Marrakech, the ‘Reva Twist’ lounge armchairs by Patrick Jouin invite you to relax in the garden, surrounded by marvellous citrus, olive, fig and banana trees. The steel backrest and armrests of the armchair are covered with a weave of flat polypropylene rope, which is resistant to the elements and also guarantees a more natural look. Meanwhile, the generous seat and voluminous cushions ensure a cosy comfort that you won't want to get up from for a while.

Urban adventure defines the Rivage Paris, an boat that offers plenty of space on two levels for events of all kinds. The furniture should be correspondingly flexible in order to provide the right stage for both informal and formal meetings. ‘Tribeca’ barstools from CMP Design, for example, with a steel structure and PVC weave, are ideal for all weather conditions – in pink and combined with the high ‘Elliot’ tables from Patrick Jouin in light green, they are also a splash of colour that creates a cheerful atmosphere. Pedrali has also set off a veritable firework display in the outdoor area of the private villa in the Sicilian town of Noto: For ‘Buddy Oasi, Busetti Garuti Redaelli manages to combine a full seat volume with upholstery made of foamed polyurethane with a lightweight aluminium structure to create a harmonious result. Thanks to the waterproof lining and the removable covers in many colours, the system of ottomans and sofas is very easy to clean and offers countless possibilities for creating individual seating landscapes. In detail, the pouf can be customised with flexible backrests, for example.

Cosy seating areas in the shade have also been created with ‘Reva Cocoon’ by Patrick Jouin – the lounge seats offer different sofa elements and chaise longues with backrests in two different heights. These are joined by the ‘Philía’ outdoor collection by Odo Fioravanti, whose tubular steel structure with hand-woven PVC weave evokes the dolce vita lifestyle of the 1960s. Andrea Pedrali's ‘Narì’ armchair pays homage to the first wrought iron garden chairs with which Mario Pedrali once started the success story of the now internationally active company.

Marco Merendi and Diego Vencato have created the perfect accompaniment for the relaxed setting with the ‘Caementum’ monobloc side table and central base made of cement, which also serves as an eye-catcher in bright colours. The round ‘Anemos’ table by Pio & Tito Toso and the ‘Babila Twist’ armchairs by Odo Fioravanti are vailable for dining together: The base of ‘Anemos’ features two separate aluminium shells attached to the table top, which take on a flexible, curved shape thanks to a double curve. Meanwhile, the steel profile of ‘Babila Twist’ alternates between straight and curved lines of tubular steel covered with a weave of weather-resistant polypropylene cord. A lined cushion made of draining foamed polyurethane ensures a comfortable seat, with a wide range of cover options. This glimpse of Pedrali's current projects alone shows the possibilities of the perfect furnishings to blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors and enjoy the summer to the full. (am)
