Oka is a modular shelving unit formed from single or double bays which are juxtaposed in a way which jostles with the monotone codes of the shelving unit. In this way one can mix colours (satin white, mastic, argile or walnut) and materials (lacquer or veneer), bringing together differently-sized modules (single or double width) to create their very own piece of furniture. What makes it really interesting is the opportunity to play with colour contrasts by adding a band of one colour flanked on both sides by another.

Thus everyone can bring a significant touch of originality to their composition, which nevertheless remains very structured and functional. The staggered shelves enable modules to perfectly interlock whilst bringing a highly original asymmetrical note to the extremities of the piece.
