For the “Stylepark Architects’ Lounge” at this year’s Light + Building in Frankfurt/Main, Swiss designer Jörg Boner has deliberately focused on a few simple but effective elements.

Relax, read or work – bedrooms have long since ceased to only be used for sleeping. Assuming the bed is comfy and flexible – and cuts a fine figure, too.

Be it new designs or re-issued classics: velvet covers were omnipresent at the imm cologne. But why?

Rest, nap, read or let your thoughts wander during the day – on a daybed. Be it an upmarket modern version, a narrow bench, a chaise longue or a new wave – they all look great.

The imm Cologne is swiftly getting back on an even keel. And how are designers and manufacturers making use of the opportunity? A tour of the trade fair shows that they often resorted to the tried-and-true, reanimating and dressing it up for contemporary use.
