STYLEPARK PEDRALI
Feel-good working spaces
Modern workspace design today requires a combination of aesthetics, functionality and comfort: instead of inflexible systems, the focus is on meeting individual needs. This requires modular furniture that can be used to realise dynamic settings – for tasks that demand concentration, lively discussions or a short break. Pedrali has the answer to the question of diverse interior design and uses creative ideas to help shape the working and living spaces of today and tomorrow. The projects of this family business, which manufactures exclusively in Italy, range from Microsoft House in Milan to Google locations as well as the PayPal office in Mexico City.
For the HQ of tech company Brevo in Paris, Pedrali was asked to furnish a 3,000 square metre space. The elegant ‘Elliot’ tables by Patrick Jouin and the comfy ‘Buddy’ sofas and poufs by Busetti Garuti Redaelli were among the pieces chosen for the interior. Meanwhile, the open-air lounge features ‘Buddy Oasi’ ottomans with movable backrests, alongside ‘Tribeca’ chairs and lounge chairs by Mandelli Pagliarulo with an exciting tubular steel structure. At the Scalapay headquarters in Milan, on the other hand, employees work with the ‘Buddyhub’ collection, which Busetti Garuti Redaelli designed for Pedrali: each piece of furniture is surrounded by a sound-absorbing panel, which provides slight acoustic and visual screening for the person sitting there. The seating elements can be arranged in different ways for niches, allowing confidential conversations. It is also possible to equip the furniture with connections for battery chargers or to add a small table top.
The ‘Blume’ collection by Sebastian Herkner is a further multifaceted example, with its extruded aluminium profile creating a flower-shaped silhouette. The soft, rounded shapes of the generous upholstery, combined with the ornamentation, offer a cosy effect that extends from the sideboard to the chair. The armchairs thus provide a relaxed seating area in the lounge of the PayPal office in Mexico City. Seating areas of any size can be assembled in the Sauvage TV offices thanks to the modular sofa system ‘Social’ by Patrick Jouin: linear, angular and curved components combine virtually endlessly or can be used as individual seats.
If a large conference table is required, Pedrali provides several solutions: whether it be ‘Rizz’ by Robin Rizzini with slender legs made of die-cast aluminium with a flowing curve, the in-house design “Arki-Table” with steel trestle legs, or ‘Ikon’ by Pio & Tito Toso with a conical polyethylene column. Pedrali chairs are also ideal for any working environment, such as ‘Nym’ by Cazzaniga Mandelli Pagliarulo, made of solid ash wood for the L'Oreal headquarters in Milan. The shape, with a curved backrest made of bent wood that merges into the solid ash wood seat, is inspired by classic Windsor chairs. In the upholstered version, the seats offer extra comfort and, with their wide range of colours, an additional design element. The ‘Babila’ seating collection by Odo Fioravanti, made of ash wood, fits into any office thanks to its clean lines and wide range of finishes, from stools to armchairs.
Simply this insight into the office references demonstrates how easily Pedrali furniture creates agile spaces that are inviting – for a positive working environment that increases people's wellbeing.
