Yabu et Pushelberg have designed a low table to complement their eponymous upholstery collection and rug, in that same creative, sensual spirit of theirs. The very particular shape of the table recalls the rounded design of the settee. Yabu et Pushelberg draw inspiration from observing the way in which people live today, with the need for instant gratification and access to a constant flow of news. Their Pukka collection was designed to transcend time and space. Their design must adapt to evolving requirements, without being dependent on particular trends. The design must respond to current needs, corresponding to the way in which people live today, but it must also anticipate their future requirements. To satisfy in terms of function, Yabu Pushelberg hoped to create a soft, organic, feminine design which would adapt itself to any space. The collection goes hand in hand with their eponymous upholstery collection and rug, the constants being a creative, sensual spirit and a rounded design.
