The Martini Chair by mūller and StudioFaubel combines precise metalwork with sculptural elegance. The starting point was the question of how aluminium could be shaped in such a way that it appeared light, delicate and comfortable at the same time.
The seat shell is made of aluminium that is only three millimetres thick, folded and welded with the utmost precision. Its geometry is reminiscent of the Japanese art of origami and gives the furniture a clear, minimalist design language.
