Philosophy

With a strong sense of the value of diversity, Dinesen designs bespoke plank floors of extraordinary dimensions to private clients, international architects and designers. Dinesen was founded in 1898 by Hans Peter Dinesen, a master builder. He was unable to find wood of the quality he wanted, so he started up his own sawmill. Ever since, quality has been the guiding principle in Dinesen’s production of wooden floors. Dinesen is a family business, which is being carried on today by the fourth generation. Wood, uncompromising quality and careful craftsmanship have therefore been daily concerns for over one hundred years.
