Designed in 1973, Quarto takes its name from its quarter-sphere form. Its rigorous geometry creates a controlled, indirect light with a precisely defined distribution. Pure geometry and a restrained, elegant form place the quality of light at the heart of the design.
The new Quarto Small retains the character of the original on a more compact scale, increasing its versatility in contemporary interiors. As in the original version, the metal body and shaped reflector produce a soft, even light. From the outset, the design allowed light to be directed “in any direction” (Ottagono no. 31, 1973).
The new version retains a 270° rotation, allowing the light beam to be adjusted even after the lamp has been installed on the wall.
