À la fin des années 80, Bobby Dekeyser, ancien joueur professionnel de football au Bayern Munich, décide de créer des meubles d’extérieur haut de gamme qui résistent aux intempéries. Il utilise le savoir-faire de sa famille, qui possède depuis des générations une entreprise de transformation du plastique, et il développe une nouvelle fibre synthétique d’une résistance exceptionnelle. La première pierre des meubles DEDON est posée. En 1990, Bobby Dekeyser fonde la société DEDON et fait protéger cette fibre unique, dans le monde entier, en tant que marque de fabrique. Ce sera le début d’une histoire à succès exemplaire.
