Product description
A magnetic, seductive surface echoes the front opening and large buttons of the cardigan/sweater, a code for clothing and behaviour which with subtle wit bursts onto a shared, familiar scenario.
A flexible, modular range, Button Down may be interpreted in two ways. The sofa generates an outfit and expresses itself through it but, at the same time, the outfit produces a sofa, remoulds its form. A creative resistance to style conventionality; modularly-built elements tailored to the fabric create a sofa which you don’t uncover – you undress it.
The frame is in wood and the parts are in differentiated density resilient polyurethane foam and polyester fibre. The upholstery, in wool with Uniform and Gentle fabric, is made exclusively for the design by the Dutch company Innofa with a certificate of compatibility for the contract market.
Available from december 2011.
